SUBJECT

"Healing Stories from Luke/Acts"

DESCRIPTION

In the talks for this retreat I will be focusing on three accounts of healing from the gospel of Luke and one from the book of Acts.  We will look at the healing of Peter's mother-in-law, Luke 4:38-39; the healing of the man with a withered hand, Luke 6:6-11; the healing of a crippled woman, Luke 13:10-17; and the healing of a crippled beggar from Acts 3:1-22.  A significant part of Jesus' ministry, both during his earthly life and in our lives today, is healing.  Our experience as Christians today includes both healing and brokenness, sometimes co-existing.  I will present some brief meditations centered on these specific accounts from Luke and Acts on Jesus as healer.
